Is Sylvan covered by insurance?

Yes! We’re in-network with most major insurance plans, and many patients pay $0 out of pocket; however, co-pays, coinsurance, and deductibles apply for certain plans.

What technology do I need for a virtual visit?

Any phone, tablet, or computer with internet will work. No special apps or downloads needed - our platform is secure and easy to use. Appointments can also be carried out via phone call, if needed.

What should I do to prepare for my first visit?

No preparation is needed. You’re welcome to jot down questions or a quick food log to inform your conversation, but your dietitian will be equipped to guide the conversation from the start. 

What happens during a nutrition appointment?

Your first visit is a conversation. You’ll talk about your health history, daily habits, and goals. From there, your dietitian will help you build a plan that’s realistic, supportive, sustainable, and totally personalized.
